This is a lower acuity ICU
General ICU, Stroke (TNK), COVID, Medical, Surgical, Behavioral Health, Overdoses, post cardiac arrest, ventilators
Patient Ratios
1:2-3 (Days & Nights) – acuity based
Required Certifications
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Skills Required
Read/interpret strips, Vents, Chest Tubes, Traches, Line management, proning experience
Bedside and Nursing Station tele monitoring, no tele tech in the ICU
Support on the Unit
CNA (Ratio 1:7)
No HUC in the ICU
Charge nurse:
Will take patient assignment
Phlebotomy:
Available for peripheral blood draws
IV/VAT Team:
During dayshift M, W, F
Resource Nurse:
No
RT: 24/7
Hospitalist: 24/7
ICU Educator
OT, PT, ST – weekdays and variability on weekends
Intensivist: , eICU

Must be comfortable floating to the Cardiac unit
