The Machinist is responsible for the timely and accurate manufacture of parts per print specifications utilizing a variety of machining centers safely. They may also make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.

• Program, set up, and run variety of machine tools to manufacture parts according to specifications.
• Check all diameters and dimensions.
• Study blueprint and plan efficient way to manufacture parts.
• Use overhead cranes to lift large parts or materials safely.
• Measure parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain machine shop equipment.
• Train other workers on the proper and safe operation of equipment.
• Collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.

• Perform machine maintenance.
• Assist in establishing procedures to manufacture parts more efficiently.
• Deburr parts when time allows.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of machinist experience.
• Strong mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, metric conversions.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol or other machine software.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.
