Opportunity
We’re hiring a Tribal Grant Accountant to help manage grant activity, prepare budgets and reports, and work directly with clients to ensure grant funds are tracked and reported correctly. This role plays an important part in helping Tribal programs stay funded, compliant, and focused on serving their communities.
How This Role WorksThis is an onsite, in‑office position in Shawnee, Oklahoma
. Our team works together in person to collaborate, ask questions, and stay aligned — especially during busy reporting periods.
- Prepare journal entries, budgets, and recurring grant‑related tasks
- Review balances to understand what’s been spent and what remains available
- Analyze expenses to ensure they are allowable, documented properly, and coded correctly
- Prepare grant reports and reconciliations to support drawdowns
- Maintain grant files in compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Respond to client questions and explain grant requirements clearly
- Support audit requests and year‑end reporting
- Collaborate with teammates and leadership as priorities shift

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Extensive accounting experience may be considered in place of a degree)
- At least two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- At least one year of experience with fund accounting
- Experience with federal grants and indirect cost principles, Native American Tribal entities, and/or CPA certification is a plus
