About This Job

The Retail Operations & Risk Specialist will support the branch networks ability to meet customer demands by providing operational support for the Retail Ops Centers of Excellence. This requires working with CBI Retail Ops, other Retail Ops & Risk Centers of Excellence, Market Operations Specialists, Personal Bankers, the branch management team, Group Managers and Regional Retail Banking Managers.

Essential Functions

• Provide appropriate support for the operational Centers of Excellence
• Receive and process all foreign currency orders and buyback
• Review and process Retail Check Fraud Packets
• Complete retail account closure request by the Bank
• Provide support and assist branches with day-to-day questions and with Retail operational process, policies, and responsibilities
• Provide approvals up to the stated limit
• Recommend improvements to existing operational processes, policies, procedures, and training
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Intermediate understanding or ability to learn our Retail operations policies, procedures, and systems
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Intermediate ability to research and find the root cause of the issue
• Demonstrate ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Education & Experience

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 3+ years Retail branch operations experience or related experience

This compensation range is for the Operations & Risk Specialist or Senior level job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range is $20.65 to $26.45 .
