Inbound Receiving Coordinator

Inbound Supervisor/Manager

The Inbound Receiving Coordinator is responsible for assisting the supervisors and managers with training and managing the workflow on the inbound receiving dock. The Distribution Center is a fast-paced, high-volume 600,000 square foot state of the art Automotive Distribution center in Shawnee, KS.

• Schedule and tracking of inbound receiving activities.
• Researching issues that are staged in the problem area of the dock.
• Work discrepancies on inbound shipments (daily).
• Assist with workload management as needed.
• Assist with training on Material Support and Box Handlers.
• Monitoring inbound parts that are required to improve fill levels.
• File appropriate freight claims with carriers if needed.
• Monitor and manage reports such as the Inspection report.
• Communicate issues with local management as well as manufacturing locations.
• Special project work when needed.

• Position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent (College Degree Preferred).
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of transportation related experience and familiar with computer related programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with the JD Edwards operating system with prior experience in a WMS environment preferred.
• Good communication skills and follow instructions/directions with minor supervision.
• General understanding of the transportation and able to schedule loads in the Traffic Management System.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Other physical demands: standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping; exposure to hot, cold, and dust.
• May require work during seasonal demands on alternate shift including evenings and weekends.
