Summary of Position

Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing and delivering nursing services. Plan, organize, direct, supervise and evaluate all nursing services. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and implement core nursing programs. Maintain records and reports concerning resident care. Orient and train nursing personnel. Manage the nursing department within budget in the absence of the DON. Follow all center policies and procedures.

Subject to on‑call rotation. This is a working manager position requiring time on the floor with residents and staff.

Requirements of the Position
  • Current RN license with the state.
  • Good financial and management skills. Adaptable to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel. Positive and effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers and staff.
  • Special interest and positive attitude toward working with long‑term care residents and the elderly.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English. Meets all health requirements as required by law. Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Subject to call schedule.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Post‑acute care or health care experience preferred.
