Senior Level Diesel Technician (Permanent Full Time) to support the Truck Fleet at Ryder in Sharonville, Ohio.

Compensation and Schedule- Hourly Pay: $39.58 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700 total
- Quarterly Bonus:
Up to $500 per quarter (four times per year) - Schedule:
Sunday–Thursday - Hours:
Second Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

- Technician Tuition Repayment up to $5,000
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard and preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
- completes complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint
- Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Complies with all safety, DOT, MOT and corporate guidelines
- Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Accesses and uses internal and external maintenance documents
- Other duties to support operations, including Service Island support
- SBTIII trained within 180 days
- Complete OEM on-line diagnostic tool courses as required by location fleet mix
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational/technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics (AC and electrical)
- Three or more years of relevant experience preferred
- CDL Class A (preferred) and other location-specific certifications as required
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment
- Computer skills: PC, Windows, etc.
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check
