Position:
Senior Level Diesel Technician (Permanent Full Time) to support the Truck Fleet at Ryder in Sharonville, Ohio.

• Hourly Pay: $39.58 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700 total
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Up to $500 per quarter (four times per year)

  Second Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard and preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
• completes complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Works unsupervised on most tasks
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Complies with all safety, DOT, MOT and corporate guidelines
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Accesses and uses internal and external maintenance documents
• Other duties to support operations, including Service Island support
• SBTIII trained within 180 days
• Complete OEM on-line diagnostic tool courses as required by location fleet mix

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational/technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics (AC and electrical)
• Three or more years of relevant experience preferred
• CDL Class A (preferred) and other location-specific certifications as required
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment
• Computer skills: PC, Windows, etc.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check
