Overview
Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Sharonville, Ohio. This is a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
- Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
- Replace defective components as instructed and work unsupervised on most tasks.
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue and determine appropriate actions.
- Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation; comply with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
- Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and access internal/external maintenance documents.
- Support additional duties as required to aid operations (e.g., Service Island support).
- Achieve SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT
220) and complete OEM online diagnostic courses as required by location.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational/Technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred; basic tools required.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred; valid CDL Class A preferred; all location-specific certifications required or as applicable.
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy- and medium-duty equipment.
- Strong computer skills (PC, Windows) and ability to learn maintenance management systems.
- Schedule:
Sunday–Thursday. - Hours:
Second shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. - Hourly pay: $39.58 per hour.
- Certification bonus up to $700; quarterly bonus up to $500 per quarter.
