Job Description

The Senior Production Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on the job training, development, and opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Supervise, evaluate, and empower a team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.
  • Drive to exceed personal/team/Company goals by holding self and team to high performance standards through servant leadership.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.
  • Support peer team by training, coaching and developing newly hired and promoted Supervisors.
  • Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.
Qualifications

You'll have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours.
Required Behaviors
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Two‑way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners, and customers.
  • Highly committed to continuous improvement applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset.
  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies.
  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively.
  • Values different opinions and is open to ideas and perspectives from others.
Even Better, You May Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Safety and quality experience.
  • Six Sigma:
    Black or Green Belt certified.
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles.
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Strong mechanical background.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720–162,120.
