East Elementary School seeks a Building Substitute.
Responsibilities:
* In the absence of the classroom teacher, provide instruction and manage the learning environment.
* Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
* Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
* Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
* Monitor Lunches
* Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
Qualifications:
* Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Able to adapt to sudden work assignment changes in response to immediate school/district needs.
* Work independently and in a team environment.
* Work cooperatively with students and SPS employees.
* A sense of humor and a proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with all employees and community members.
