Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mexican Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver authentic, high-quality Mexican cuisine. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of traditional and regional Mexican dishes, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to consistency, creativity, and food excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute an authentic Mexican menu, including traditional and modern dishes
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
- Ensure consistency in recipes, portion sizes, and plating
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and service during all shifts
- Source quality ingredients and work with suppliers to maintain authenticity and cost control
- Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and manage food costs within budget
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with management on menu updates, specials, and seasonal offerings
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper use and maintenance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef specializing in Mexican cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Mexican ingredients, techniques, and regional dishes
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
- Creativity and passion for Mexican food and culture
