IT Asset Administrator

Purpose

Support the Digital Technology Department (DTD) in comprehensive IT Asset Audit across all designated University facilities. The assigned staff will assist in verifying physical IT assets, capturing asset details, and recording accurate information in standardized Excel templates to ensure data integrity and compliance with IT Asset Management requirements.

• Physically verify IT assets assigned to departments, offices, labs, and staff, including checking the presence of company asset tags/labels.
• Record required asset information in the provided Excel sheets, including asset tag, serial number, model/specifications, user custodian, location, and condition status.
• Submit daily progress updates and highlight discrepancies, missing assets, or untagged equipment.
• Work closely with DTD members and follow asset audit guidelines and data handling best practices.

• Proficient in using laptops for data entry and documentation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, filtering, sorting, and basic formulas).
• Previous experience in inventory, IT asset audit, or administrative data recording.
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact with university staff.
• Physically able to visit various campus buildings for asset verification.

• Updated and verified Excel asset list per department.
• Daily audit progress report (completed and pending areas).
• Final summary report covering all verified assets and identified exceptions.
