Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining Financial Records: accurately record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Preparing Financial Statements: prepare essential financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide insights into the company's financial health.
• Reconciling Accounts: reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Payroll Processing: calculate and process employee paychecks.
• Tax Preparation: prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Auditing: participate in internal and external audits to verify the accuracy of financial information.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Effective communication skills to convey financial information to finance and non-finance professionals.
• Accuracy and meticulousness for maintaining reliable financial records.
• Ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical financial practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software like Quick Books or SAP, and advanced knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
