Engineer / Senior Engineer – AV/ICT (Based in Amman, Jordan) Job Description

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer – AV/ICT ( based in Jordan) to deliver innovative audiovisual and ICT solutions. This role plays a key part in shaping complex building and infrastructure projects across the region through cutting‑edge technology.

The successful candidate will be based in Jordan, with the role providing remote support across GCC countries.

Design & Integration:
Develop detailed designs for AV, ICT, and security systems, including structured cabling, audiovisual technologies, and integrated building solutions. This includes creative AV design for museums, themed attractions, and experiential spaces, incorporating projection mapping, interactive displays, immersive audio systems, LED walls, and multi‑sensory environments.

Technical Leadership:
Lead design reviews, ensure compliance with international standards, and provide technical guidance to project teams for projects in different sectors, from residential & commercial to cultural exhibits and entertainment venues.

Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, Building Services engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of AV/ICT systems within overall project designs.

Documentation:
Prepare schematic diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.

Innovation:
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in AV/ICT systems design and integration for large‑scale projects with working experience with the following systems:
• Creative AV Solutions:
  Design and implement immersive audiovisual experiences for museums, themed attractions, and visitor centers, including projection mapping, interactive displays, and multi‑sensory environments.
• Show Control & Interactive Technologies:
  Specify and integrate show control systems, and synchronized lighting/audio for experiential spaces.
• Active Network Design:
  Design system architecture and specify active network components (switches, routers, wireless access points) for ICT infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security.
• Structured Cabling Systems:
  Develop layouts and specifications for fiber optic and copper cabling, patch panels, and racks.
• Data Center & Server Rooms:
  Plan and design AV/ICT rooms, including power, cooling, and rack layouts.
• Security & Surveillance Systems:
  Integrate CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related ELV systems.
• Unified Communications:
  Implement VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration platforms integrated with AV systems.
• Integration with Building Systems:
  Ensure AV/ICT solutions interface with BMS, lighting control, and other smart building technologies.
• Wireless & RF Systems:
  Design WLAN, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), and TETRA radio systems for large facilities.
• Certifications:
  
  CTS (required), CTS-D (preferred) and RCDD (preferred).
• Software:
  Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, iBwave (for Wi‑Fi heatmaps), EASE for electroacoustic, and Mapping Mtters for projection mapping (preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
