Consultant General Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant General Surgeon to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality surgical care to patients requiring diverse surgical interventions. • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations to determine the necessity for surgery
• Perform various general surgical procedures, utilizing both traditional and minimally invasive techniques
• Manage all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring the best possible recovery outcomes
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, potential risks, and aftercare requirements
• Engage in clinical governance initiatives aimed at improving surgical practices and patient safety
• Participate in continuing medical education and stay updated on advancements in surgical methodologies and technologies
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions and surgical procedures

• MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
• Completion of a General Surgery residency program
• Board certification in General Surgery is required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a consultant surgical role
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in a wide range of general surgical techniques
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

• Proficiency in English; other language skills are a plus
