As a Joinery Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed estimates for joinery and woodworking services
. You will work closely with our sales, design, and production teams to assess project requirements, analyze costs, and prepare comprehensive estimates that align with our quality standards and client expectations.
- Project Evaluation:
Assess project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work. - Material and Labor Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of materials, labor costs, and other relevant factors to determine accurate project estimates. - Cost Estimation:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales, design, and production teams to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimating. - Bid Preparation:
Prepare and submit well-organized and competitive bids while meeting project deadlines. - Vendor Relations:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and availability. - Value Engineering:
Collaborate with the design and production teams to suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality. - Documentation:
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
- Experience:
Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator or in a similar role within the joinery or woodworking industry. - Technical
Skills:
Proficient in estimating software and tools. Strong knowledge of joinery materials, processes, and construction methods. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. - Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Time Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
