The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal financial controls.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping- Record daily accounting entries including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
- Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and petty cash
- Prepare journal entries and month-end closing support
- Generate customer invoices and follow up on receivables
- Track aging reports and support timely collections
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams for billing accuracy
- Verify supplier invoices and process payments
- Maintain vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor employee expense claims and reimbursements
- Assist in preparation of monthly MIS, P&L, and balance sheet reports
- Support VAT/GST compliance, filings, and documentation
- Assist internal and external audits with required records
- Maintain accounting records in ERP/accounting software (Tally / Odoo / SAP / Zoho)
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures
- Maintain proper documentation and filing (physical & digital)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- CA-Inter / CMA / ACCA (preferred but not mandatory)
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in SME, IT services, retail, or manufacturing is an advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Working knowledge of VAT/GST and statutory compliance
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Accuracy of accounting entries
