Field Service Mechanic

We’re looking for a Mobile Service Writer to coordinate mobile service operations and act as the main point of contact for customers. This role manages schedules, parts, warranty claims, and documentation while supporting our mobile technicians.

• Customer Interaction
  • Act as the primary point of contact for mobile service customers.
  • Clearly communicate service options, pricing, and estimates.
  • Follow up on completed services to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Service Coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate mobile service appointments.
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure they have the parts, tools, and information needed.
• Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Accurately maintain service orders, invoices, warranty paperwork, and customer records.
  • Prepare and distribute service reports.
• Parts & Inventory Management
  • Assist in managing inventory for mobile technicians.
  • Order parts as needed and maintain supplier relationships.
• Technical Knowledge & Support
  • Develop a working knowledge of equipment types and common service needs.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support as needed.
• Sales & Upselling
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional services, parts, or maintenance programs.
  • Recommend service contracts to strengthen customer relationships.
• Warranty Claims
  • Collect and verify all required information for warranty processing.
  • Prepare and submit warranty claims to vendors.

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
• Previous service writing experience, ideally in heavy equipment or automotive
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic understanding of heavy equipment mechanics and maintenance
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Travel to customer locations required

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Mechanic to join our team. This position focuses on the maintenance, service, and repair of Bandit Industries equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, and horizontal grinders.

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on Bandit Industries products
• Travel to customer sites to provide on‑site service and support (company vehicle provided)
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Lano Equipment with professionalism

• Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in heavy equipment or forestry machinery
• CDL License
• Welding Skills
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Must be willing and able to travel regularly to customer locations
• Self‑starter with excellent problem‑solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Experience with Bandit Industries equipment or similar machinery
• Technical certifications in diesel engines, hydraulics, or related fields
• Ability to drive a manual transmission field service vehicle
