Nest & Note Print Co. (a division of CG Marketing Group)
Part-Time | On-Site | Shakopee, MN
Nest & Note Print Co. is a boutique print studio specializing in beautifully designed, customizable labels, stationery, and paper goods. We operate at the intersection of design and production — combining thoughtful templates with high-quality printing and finishing.
Nest & Note is a division of CG Marketing Group, a family-owned print and marketing company that has been in business for over 50 years. While our Nest & Note team operates like a focused studio, you’ll be part of an established company with long-term stability and a collaborative in-house team.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, tech-comfortable team member to support order processing, template-based customization, printing, and fulfillment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured workflows, precision-based work, and producing polished, tangible products.
What You’ll Do Order Preparation & Pre-Press Template Customization- Prepare first-draft production files using pre-designed templates
- Add customer-provided details such as names, ingredients, product titles, or photos
- Apply established formatting rules (line breaks, spacing, text flow)
- Ensure text fits cleanly within template boundaries
- Check for typos or obvious formatting issues before submitting
- Route completed drafts for final design review and approval prior to printing
(This is not a graphic design role — all layouts and templates are predesigned. The work involves accurately applying customer information within established templates using company software and tools. Training will be provided.)
Print Production- Print customer orders using professional print equipment
- Monitor print quality and identify issues before they ship
- Manage daily print queue and batching
- Trim, cut, and stack printed materials
- Bind calendars and notepads
- Laminate bookmarks and specialty items
- Review finished products for accuracy and consistency
- Carefully pack label and paper goods orders
- Insert promotional materials
- Prepare domestic and international shipments
- Ensure orders ship on time
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and web-based tools
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Canva, or similar programs
- Ability to follow structured processes
- Willingness to learn new systems and software
- Reliable and consistent
- Comfortable with hands-on production work
- Able to stand, lift paper boxes, and work at a production table
Bonus (not required):
- Experience in print production, light manufacturing, or order processing
- Experience with template-based work or data entry What This Role Is Not
- Not a graphic design position
- Not a warehouse picker role
- Not customer service
This is a hybrid production and order-prep role within a small, quality-driven print studio.
Schedule & Hours- Part-time: approximately 20 hours per week
- Consistent weekday schedule preferred
- Flexibility during peak seasons helpful
