Emerson is seeking a Project Management professional for the Shakopee, MN location. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership, execution, and management of customer projects, ensuring customer requirements are achieved while focusing on Measurement Solutions strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all activities relating to the customers’ project requirements from execution to closeout according to the Measurement Solutions PMO process, with timely and consistent communication to the customer, sales, project team, and supply chain
  • Utilize interpersonal savvy, problem solving skills, and managerial courage to successfully address all issues pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Participate and assist sales and the proposal manager during the pursuit/proposal phase in maintaining the customer relationship, providing insight on execution capabilities, resource allocation, and other responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization and world areas to facilitate successful project execution and management
  • Be responsible for following established project management standards, while anticipating problems and mitigating risks to the customer and business
  • Create and establish communication plans, project timelines, and project reports to keep project on track and stakeholders up to date on the project status
  • Maintain understanding of general business practices and knowledge of Measurement Solutions' standard business terms and conditions and product portfolio. Acquire and maintain familiarity with process industry and Import/Export regulations, and initiates process improvements utilizing Quality tools
  • Participate on Global Project teams addressing Project business and management

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of six (6) years related experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10% - domestic or international
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification - can be obtained while in role

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $95,000-$115,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
