Venue Nation is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager for Mystic Lake Amphitheater to oversee venue safety, mechanical operations, vendor partnerships, and overall property upkeep. This role ensures OSHA compliance, supervises maintenance staff, manages grounds and infrastructure, and upholds operational standards to maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained venue environment. This role is a Part‑Time Seasonal position.
What This Role Will Do I.Maintaining the Venue to OSHA and Safety Standard
- Participate in monthly safety committee meetings
- Ensure that all safety standards are met according to OSHA properties
- Ensure that all safety equipment is available and kept in stock (fire extinguishers and safety glasses)
- Coordinate with all operations managers to ensure property is kept to industry standard
- All plumbing and electrical systems are operating to standard
- All electrical systems are operating to standard
- All light construction work is being completed in a timely manner
- All painting work is being kept clean and standard
- Maintain Appropriate Relationships with Local Vendors
- Ensure that relationships with local vendors are professional
- Comparative price shopping
- Upkeep of all plants at the exterior of the building
- Interviews, selects, trains, and supervises department staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff.
- Provide a positive environment within the department, maintaining open communication with crew.
- Ensures and makes arrangements to repair and/or replacement of used damaged equipment.
- Purchases, re‑orders and maintains adequate supplies and inventory of cleaning products.
- Conduct evaluations of staff, outline goals, propose raise recommendations
- Ensure that staff training is complete and satisfactory.
- Work with scheduling payroll administrator to ensure that all staffing needs are met.
- Budget appropriately for each show’s needs while working to reach the overall operating per/head goal.
- 3–5 years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety compliance standards
- Experience overseeing plumbing, electrical, and general construction/repair work
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong vendor management and cost‑control experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Trade certification or state/local licensing (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
