The Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for the assigned building(s). This role has a wide range of responsibilities including low/medium voltage power, HVAC system and controls, mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing system and vendor management. Primary responsibilities will include electrical/mechanical support for power systems, chillers and controls, lighting systems and controls, BMS and other facility subsystems and support tools.
Essential Functions:- Maintain light bulbs / change ballasts.
- Wall repairs – patching and painting drywall.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
- General office maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, install whiteboards, etc.
- Minor plumbing repairs.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience with work order systems.
- Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests and general maintenance as assigned.
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials, as requested.
- Assists other operational staff members in repair and maintenance of building equipment.
- Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintains all records, procedures, and other required documentation on site for the safe, economical operation of the facility.
- Coordinates and supervises vendor contracted work.
- Performs daily supervision of contracted custodial staff, and ensures cleanliness standards are met.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ongoing communication with onsite leadership regarding status of facility maintenance activities.
- Provide daily direction to maintenance staff.
Skills and Abilities
(KSA)
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 26 feet.
- Five years of experience.
- 2 year technical degree would be preferred.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude a must.
- Team player, hard worker, self-starter, good interpersonal skills, organized, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
- Speak fluent English.
The Maintenance Technician will provide direction and guidance to contracted vendor personnel performing onsite work.
Working Environment:- Work assignment is in a research and development building, and will require work in and around technology labs, mechanical areas of the building (both inside and outside), in electrical rooms, and other maintenance locations.
Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $71, annually.

Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
