Assistant Financial Controller

Top Workforce Solutions is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Onsite Assistant Financial Controller in Shakopee, Minnesota. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing financial insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimize business performance. You will analyze financial data, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with various departments to ensure effective financial management and reporting.

• Analyze financial performance by monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to define and review the timeline for financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze the quantitative budget for the business unit.
• Generate financial reports for the business unit that provide insights on performance.
• Develop and manage quarterly forecasts for the business.
• Monitor and analyze overhead and manpower costs, alongside capital expenditure budgets.
• Notify Project Managers and Business Unit Managers of any project variations to enable timely corrective actions.
• Assist project managers with the management of contract amounts, work orders, change orders, and reporting.
• Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls.
• Work alongside project managers to align objectives, goals, and overall project performance.
• Prepare construction budget tracking reports to compare costs incurred against the original budget.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting.
• Minimum of four (4) years in a related field.
• Demonstrate understanding of project controls relating to budgeting, scheduling, actual/committed costs tracking, change control, forecasting, and core financial principles.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with colleagues, supervisors, managers, and clients.

Salary Range $ 85,000-$90,000
