Position Overview: SHEQ Manager
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SHEQ Manager to join our team in Shakopee, Minnesota
. The SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) will oversee and champion the continuous enhancement of our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring excellence in quality management, environmental responsibility, occupational health, and workplace safety.
This role reports directly to the General Manager and serves as the authoritative representative for all SHEQ matters across the organization. By leading ISO certification efforts, compliance monitoring, audits, and training programs, the SHEQ Manager plays a critical role in embedding a culture of safety and quality throughout Gamma Vacuum.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, ensuring ongoing compliance and readiness for external audits.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve SHEQ plans and audit programs aimed at driving operational excellence and risk mitigation.
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions on SHEQ policies, emergency preparedness, and ISO standards to all levels of employees, fostering awareness and adherence.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and state-level requirements by developing and managing effective workplace safety initiatives.
- Oversee product certification processes to align with applicable regulatory and industry standards, supporting product quality and safety.
- Administer document control systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance of all SHEQ-related documentation and records.
- Monitor evolving legal and environmental regulations, maintaining thorough compliance records and providing timely updates to leadership.
- Prepare comprehensive annual SHEQ management reviews and sustainability reports, communicating progress and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, operations, and leadership teams to integrate SHEQ considerations into business strategies and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects targeting quality enhancement, environmental sustainability, and employee health and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in compliance, safety, quality, or environmental management roles.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, along with SHEQ management systems implementation.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and ability to develop compliant safety programs.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, lead documentation control, and manage certification processes efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills including public speaking and technical report writing to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, particularly within production companies focused on technical products.
- Demonstrated ability to lead training programs that create awareness and foster behavioral change toward safety and quality.
