About the RoleAs a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise will directly impact production quality, cost-effectiveness, and operational safety. Key Responsibilities Required- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and troubleshoot process deviations.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead and support capital and process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Utilize data analysis tools to assess process performance and generate reports for management.
- Provide technical support, develop SOPs, and train operations staff.
- Stay current on modern technologies and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pulp & Paper Science, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pulp and paper industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in recycled paper or OCC processes.
- Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, temperature variations, dust, and chemicals.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and climb ladders/stairs.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually.
