Position: Test Engineer (On-site, 3rd Shift)
DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Test Engineer (On-site, 3 rd Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins location Seymour, IN.

Education, Licenses,

Certifications:

College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Skill Requirements :

+ This position will be a 3rd shift Manufacturing Engineering position within the Engine Test portion of the Seymour Engine Plant (SEP) business.

+ The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) preferred;
Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) may also be considered.

+ Must be willing to be hands on with new and seasoned machinery, engine control systems, cell control systems, and associated machinery/equipment.

+ Must be willing to dynamically support projects within the larger test area as needed.

+

Experience with Comptek or other test software is helpful. Mechanical aptitude is required. Must show some experience with computer programming/control.

+ Must be a self- starter, capable of identifying, prioritizing, and working projects on own initiative, as well as completing assigned tasks/projects.

+ Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
Process review, modification, approval, and implementation;
Function project support/lead for ER, PQP, RFT, BIS, HSE issue resolution;
