DX Operator

Job Summary

Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Equipment and identify defects on circuit board assemblies. Work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining compliance with MPI, OSHA, and SDS safety policies.

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the AOI machine.
• Load the proper program, load and run boards, and log defects accurately.
• Operate the 5DX X‑ray machine independently with high accuracy and speed, including:
  • Operate the 5DX machine with proficiency
  • Recall and load the appropriate programs for each work order
  • Identify defects and record them properly
  • Identify false calls and report trends to the programmer

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Relevant education: 0–3 years of industry experience or equivalent.
• IPC 610 certification required.
• Component Identification training required.
• Proficiency with MPI MIS (Aegis) software required.
