Senior Accountant - Seymour, CT

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Seymour, CT. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting key accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and skilled in modern accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform accurate and timely account reconciliations.

+ Record and track financial transactions using Microsoft Dynamics and other accounting software.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

+ Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

+ Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

+ Conduct accounting research to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

+ Partner with internal teams to provide financial analysis and decision-support.

+ Assist with implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.

+ Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ Proven experience as an Accountant or similar accounting role.

+ Strong understanding of debits/credits and accrual accounting.

+ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

+

Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, Net Suite, or Business Central.

+ Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

+ Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting standards.

+ Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
