Description

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient/resident, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient/resident through the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard‑free, clean environment which facilitates patient/resident focused care.

Nursing services delivered by the CNA under the scope of their practice are supervised by and report to the licensed nurses.

• Coursework/Training and successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, Serv Safe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.
• Coursework/Training and completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Upon hire:
  Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.
• Within 30 days rechercheship:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.

• 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant, or personal care attendant in long‑term care or hospital.

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. Successful candidates will be placed within the wage range based on relevant experience and other factors. The base pay range is  21.05– 31.54. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
