Education Administrator 2 (PCN 07-4560) in Seward, AK
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of AVTEC, is recruiting for an Education Administrator 2 located in Seward. This position is in the Supervisory Unit (SS) at a Range 22. This recruitment is exempt from the Hiring Freeze (Administrative Order 358). ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS!
What You Will Be Doing:
The Academic Administrator provides leadership and oversight for all academic programs at AVTEC, ensuring high-quality instruction, compliance with Council on Occupational Education (COE) standards, federal educational stakeholders and strong alignment with Alaska workforce needs. This position supervises academic Department Heads, ensures consistency and quality across programs, oversees curriculum and assessment processes, manages academic documentation, supports accreditation compliance, and works closely with faculty and industry partners to maintain AVTEC’s status as a premier postsecondary career and technical training center.

Minimum QualificationsA bachelor’s degree; AND either
A master’s degree in Administration and/or Education is preferred. Special
