ND Brown pride themselves on supplying modern, high specification vehicles to the pre mentioned sectors which are maintained by their first class service team offering on site and depot based inspections and nationwide breakdown attendance.
This is an on-site, full-time role for an HGV Mechanic based in Borough Green (Sevenoaks). The HGV Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy goods vehicles and specialist commercial vehicles for annual MOT tests, short and long-term hire contracts and breakdown/MOT cover. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine maintenance checks and preparation for annual MOT tests, troubleshooting equipment issues using the latest diagnostic equipment, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles comply with safety and operational standards.
Collaboration with team members and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
Annual Salary: £48,000.00 (£20.51 per hour based on a 45-hour working week).
Working
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (07:00 - 16:30).
Overtime:
Paid at 1.5 times the Hourly Rate.

- Proficiency in Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance.
- Experience in vehicle and equipment Repair and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
- Strong diagnostic and technical skills to assess and resolve mechanical/electrical problems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in an on-site environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in heavy vehicle mechanics (NVQ Level 3 as a minimum)
- Prior experience with HGVs or specialist commercial vehicles is an advantage
- Holding a valid and clean HGV Class 2 driving licence is advantageous.
