Harvest Operative

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our farm team from March 2026 on a fixed term contract for up to 8 months. If you're looking for a role that's challenging, but where pay is rewarded on output, join us in the Kent countryside.

What does the job involve? The role includes manually planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops (hand weeding), both on fields and in poly tunnels.

• Planting, harvesting and maintaining crops (hand weeding) in fields and in poly tunnels, as described.

• Previous experience or an understanding of harvesting is desirable.
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Ability to work outside in all weathers
• Good dexterity
• Physical stamina
• Respecting of rules and regulations

Watts Farms is a third-generation family run business. We grow fresh produce, which is picked and packed on site, with our head office based in Farningham, Kent.

Our production sites are based in Kent and Essex. We are specialist growers, who over the years have developed both growing techniques and varieties to provide our customers with the best quality and flavour. We pride ourselves on quality and service and are passionate about food and ensuring we provide a first-class service to our customers. We meet the requirements of the BRC standard for Food Safety.
