A growing and well-established manufacturing business based in, Sevenoaks is looking to recruit a Workshop Assistant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, skilled workshop environment where your practical ability and attention to detail will be highly valued.

Working within a close-knit workshop team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of specialist components using fibreglass materials. The role is hands‑on and requires precision, accuracy, and strong practical problem‑solving skills.

• Measuring, marking, and cutting materials accurately
• Assembling and bolting components (non‑welding environment)
• Working from drawings and measurements
• Handling and manoeuvring heavier materials safely
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency

We're looking for someone with a solid practical background who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in producing accurate work.

• 1-3 years' workshop or site-based experience
• Strong numerical and measuring skills
• Practical mindset with good problem‑solving ability
• Physically capable of manual handling
• Willingness to learn specialist fabrication techniques

• Carpentry background (particularly suited to this environment)
• Experience with fibreglass
• General fabrication or workshop experience
• Experience working in small teams

This role is not suited to candidates seeking welding-focused metalwork positions.

• Salary circa £30,000 depending on experience
