Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and organised Bookkeeper to join a professional services team in Sevenoaks. The role involves managing financial records and supporting the accounting and finance department on a temporary basis.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely payments.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
• Support financial reporting and budgeting activities.
• Communicate with clients to resolve billing and payment queries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
• Provide general support to the accounting and finance department as needed.

• A solid understanding of accountancy principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• A background in professional services is advantageous but not essential.

• Salary £30-35k
