The Jamestown Family Dental Clinic (JFDC) is seeking a Custodial Maintenance Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning and restocking restrooms; and emptying/disposing of trash.
- Execute minor maintenance and repair work on electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures, waterlines, lights, and partitions; clean clogged drains; and maintain heavy‑duo floor machines (washers, buffers).
- Clean and sterilize surgical, dental, and medical equipment per protocol, strictly following established clinic cleaning routes and infection‑control procedures.
- Perform groundskeeping, pressure washing, debris removal, replace light bulbs, adjust furniture, and assist with snow removal and de‑icing.
- Maintain parts and equipment supplies; unlock/secure doors; report needs or concerns to appropriate staff; and perform occasional office assistant duties such as shopping and errands.
- Two (2) years of custodial, maintenance, or related experience.
- Previous experience using a variety of cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret and follow written guidelines and verbal instructions.
- Professionalism: ability to interact with others in a professional, compassionate, and culturally competent manner; maintain confidentiality and work well as part of a team.
- Work ethic: strong organization, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills; attention to detail and commitment to quality; adaptability to change; initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid WA Driver’s License.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective time management, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
