Position Overview

We are currently seeking an HVAC Service Sales Representative
. The HVAC Service Sales Rep is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the HVAC Service business. The candidate chosen will be responsible for initiating, establishing and building profitable service relationships between new customers and First Call Mechanical.

Responsibilities
  • Follows a disciplined and professional process to identify, target and qualify prospective new customers; leverages market conditions and networks to uncover new leads and contacts.
  • Contacts prospective customers and schedules appointments.
  • Builds a referral network to identify new customers.
  • Conducts sales calls to identify sources of problems and/or dissatisfaction in operating and maintaining heating/cooling, ventilation, and control system equipment.
  • Develops a sense of urgency to resolve needs and positions First Call Mechanical as the supplier of choice.
  • Proposes solutions to prospective customers' needs through creative application of local branch service capabilities with a focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements with an emphasis on digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization.
  • Understands the customer's business and speaks their language.
  • Reviews and finalizes proposals with prospects and secures their commitment to the First Call Mechanical solution.
  • Conducts customer kickoff meetings, resolves issues, creates pull-through opportunities, maintains service agreements, extends service agreements and supports the collections process.
  • Keeps management informed of progress and account status using Build Ops and other tools.
  • Develops and implements territory marketing plans aligned with First Call Mechanical business strategy.
Accountabilities
  • Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through First Call Academy to set the bar for skill in the industry.
  • Deliver elite level customer service to ensure First Call remains the HVAC & Refrigeration partner of choice.
Organizational Alignment

This position reports to the local Branch Leader and has a responsibility to the entire service team and our customers.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 previous progressive sales roles
  • Retrofit and PM sales experience, preferred
  • Aptitude for technical knowledge with attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage in both one-on-one and group communications
  • Experience in selling service and maintenance
  • Exposure to sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines
  • Knowledge of Building HVAC Systems
Behavioral Profile Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Environmental &

Physical Requirements

Will be required to work in a field environment at multiple customer sites daily. Duties may include regular keyboard use, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
