Operations Engineer, Material Handler
Position Summary
Manage service shipment process from pulling parts, transacting parts in SAP, packing parts, and shipping parts to all our service and aftermarket customers. This individual will monitor all aspects of the service shipping process and validate customer portals for successful execution of the process. Main activities include all areas of our logistic footprint (Plant, Shiloh, & Borg).

Standard DutiesDrive safety through all activities. Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained.
Lead and execute packing of raw material into customer owned dunnage and packing into expendable dunnage (Follow standard process)
Pull and organize material for service builds as well as working with line to deliver material as required.

Communicate via e-mail, teams, and phone for any issues within service packing/building/shipping process which includes other service team members, assembly team members, service planner, and supervision. This may require extended time on manufacturing and warehouse floor to validate process is being completed successfully.
Update SAP inventory balances for transactions completed to pull and ship inventory for packing and building.
Perform any inventory or HU (handling unit) audits to keep all raw and finished goods inventory updated.
Work with quality teams to maintain service packing/shipping process when it prohibits our shipments from being sent to customers.
Lead and support continuous improvement projects as requested from service teams.
Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
Provide ongoing functional and system support, acting as the first level material support for PC&L when assemblies are needed for packing or being used to make finished assemblies.
Manage, update, maintain all teams KPI’s.
Assist material movement for machining and assembly process during times when it is required.
Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
Coordinate daily usage control, implement perpetual inventory system as well as FIFO procedures and adequately re-organize accurate ordering supplies processes.
Perform needed stock adjustments in the SAP systems and communicate as necessary.
Interact with operational users to answer questions and to ensure that they understand how to use the system to complete their job functions.
Ability to identify root cause investigation through factual data analysis when customer issues arise.
Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently and prevent reoccurrence.
Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures.
Monitor the transfer of inventory from one location to another.
Collaborate with associates/teams to contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, efficient and accurate order completion, and problem resolution.
Determine flow strategies and partner with PC&L Leadership Team to ensure timely and accurate execution of customer purchase orders.
Maintain effective communication with team members and management in keeping an efficient, productive environment. Communicate with PC&L team any necessary inventory changes to systems, schedules, or processes.
Facilitate development of procedures at local Borg locations that mitigate inventory loss and improve inventory control and periodically travel to the affiliate locations to ensure implementation and compliance of these procedures.
Perform inventory cycle counts as requested, identify discrepancies, and ensure the corresponding inventory adjustments are completed in the ERP system.
