This position will spend most of the time underwriting loans, cultivating dealer relationships, and enhancing the Sales Finance Division for Queensborough National Bank and Trust by working with Marine dealers in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. You will be the primary Underwriter and portfolio manager for Queensborough with the primary goal of creating a compliant and profitable portfolio for the bank.
The position will be responsible for executing the vision of Queensborough National Bank and Trust and their desire to create a profitable Sales Finance portfolio for the bank. This position will run all aspects of the underwriting and funding of all loans and make sure the department is operated in a safe, compliant, and profitable manner.
Essential Functions- Ability to work independently
- Ability to Underwrite and capture new loan business
- Ability to make sure policy and procedures are adhered to and suggest updates as needed
- Ability to develop new business for the bank through dealer relationships
- Ability to provide excellent service to bank’s dealer contact networks
- Ability to report and monitor key metrics in the bank’s sales finance portfolio
- Ability to operate in new opportunities for the bank as they request such as expanding collateral (for example or RV) or expanding territories
- Must be able to work during non-traditional banking hours and one to two Saturdays per month. Typically, the Sales Finance department will be open for at least underwriting from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday. One to two late nights per week can be expected in addition to Saturday hours.

- Ability to create cross-selling opportunities with new Sales Finance customers
- Must work with Department Director and Relationship Manager to obtain and maintain dealer agreements and relationships with established marine dealers in the Sales Finance market footprint
- Must be able to Underwrite and capture deals
- Must be a liaison between funding and dealer especially in handling problems and presenting solutions for them
- Must help monitor all dealers and metrics of dealers to make sure bank is capturing profitable and good business from them
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Must monitor market competition and make sure the bank remains competitive and profitable as market and economy changes
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Finance industry.
