Schedule

Available Shift: Monday-Friday 2p-10p

Compensation, Benefits and Perks
  • Baylor Pay – Work 32 hours and get paid for 40 hours

Essential Functions of Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
  • Perform resident care responsibilities safely and comfortably in line with Company Clinical Policies and Procedures and state/federal guidelines
  • Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with regulations and center policy
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration
  • Administer and record all medications based on each resident’s chart
  • Notify appropriate licensed staff if a resident reports pain
  • May take and record vital signs as assigned or required by certain medications
  • Record medication administrations and/or treatments in the computer system as needed
  • Answer resident call lights, anticipate needs, and make rounds under supervision of a licensed nurse or charge nurse
  • Observe for and report any reactions or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse
  • Perform all aspects of resident care to optimize safety and reduce health care errors
  • Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality
  • Administer PRN medications in accordance with regulations and center policy
  • Report changes in resident condition or behavior and unusual incidents as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications of CMA
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must pass a state-issued exam
  • Current valid CMA certification in the state of Oklahoma
  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
  • Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencies
  • Effective communication with residents, families, and facility staff
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge
