Psychologist Selma

Overview

We are looking for a Psychologist (Outpatient) to conduct psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations on patients referred for examination and mental health treatment. The role includes preparing treatment plans for patients requiring specialized therapy, coordinating with the consulting psychiatrist to ensure timely medication evaluation or re-evaluation, and ensuring the psychiatrist is informed of information pertinent to the patient’s clinical condition. The position involves interpreting patient self-reports and appropriate psychological tests, delivering supportive services, consultation and educational programs for the department, and communicating clinical findings in writing and through mental health consultation with organizational staff.

Documentation must be provided in accordance with policies and procedures. Participation in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings is required.

• Conduct psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations for patients referred for examination and/or mental health treatment.
• Prepare treatment plans for patients requiring specialized therapy.
• Coordinate with the consulting psychiatrist to ensure timely evaluations for medication and re-evaluations of current medications.
• Ensure the psychiatrist is aware of information pertinent to the patient’s clinical condition.
• Interpret patient self-reports of behavior and results of appropriate psychological tests.
• Deliver supportive services, provide consultation and educational programs for the department.
• Communicate clinical findings in writing and through mental health consultation with organizational staff.
• Provide documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.

• Wage Scale: $108,913 - $163,369
