Parks and Grounds Supervisor

Status:
Regular, Full-time

Schedule:

Monday – Friday; some weekends and holidays

Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour

Under general supervision, oversees maintenance, repair, and construction of city parks, recreation grounds, landscaped areas, and facilities. Supervises staff, equipment, and vehicles; assists with landscape planning, budgeting, and coordination of maintenance activities.

• Plan and supervise park and facility maintenance, repair, and construction projects
• Supervise staff, schedule assignments, and conduct evaluations
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Inspect work, ensure safety standards, and prepare reports
• Coordinate with other departments, agencies, and the public
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures
• Perform complex maintenance and construction tasks as needed

• Knowledge of park and facility maintenance, landscaping, sprinkler systems, and concrete work
• Knowledge of safety practices, insect and disease control, and landscape design
• Ability to supervise staff, manage projects, and maintain a safe work environment
• Knowledge of basic budgeting and fiscal monitoring
