Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a Medical Center in Selma, AL. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic setting, managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience.

Skills:
Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred). - Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, effective communication, cultural competency, collaboration, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check, negative TB test results, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency.
- Deliver specialized, age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients across developmental stages, adapting assessments, treatments, and communication for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Monitor, assess, and interpret pediatric-specific vital signs and physiological responses, recognizing subtle signs of distress or deterioration unique to a younger population.
- Educate and support patients and their families or guardians regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and at-home care in a compassionate and understandable manner.
- Safely administer pediatric medications and therapies, calculating precise dosages based on weight and monitoring for age-specific responses and side effects.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric team (including physicians, child life specialists, and social workers) to create a supportive, therapeutic environment that addresses the medical and emotional needs of the child and family.
