This position is posted in compliance with Alabama Code §16-22-15. It is the intent to place a current employee in this position.

In addition to adhering to the general guidelines as specified by the Faculty/Staff Handbook, the Dual enrollment Coordinator, the Dean of Students, the President, and the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, responsibilities will include the following:

* Evaluate and verify student eligibility for dual enrollment participation based on established criteria.

* Print and prepare student schedules, transcripts, student s, Assessments, and two-year academic plans.

* Organize, review, and ensure accuracy of student approval forms and applications prior to submission to the college.

* Assist students with completing the WCCS online admissions application.

* Schedule placement testing for all dual enrollment students in coordination with the College.

* Coordinate counseling and academic support efforts with the College Workforce Development representative.

* Arrange library access and services for students in accordance with agreements between the College and the LEA Library.

* Monitor student academic progress through Canvas and Dropout Detective according to the established monitoring schedule.

* Schedule at least one parent meeting each semester with college officials and the school counselor.

* Attend required training sessions with the College once per semester.

* Contact students who are failing or at risk weekly, using Dropout Detective data to guide outreach.

* Communicate with all dual enrollment students at least once per semester to provide support and updates.

* Promote and publicize dual enrollment opportunities to all eligible students.

* Collect dual enrollment grades from WCCS instructors, including adjunct and full-time faculty.

* Coordinate testing dates and times for dual enrollment students.

* Administer dual enrollment exams while maintaining confidentiality and testing security standards.

* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate respect toward all College constituents.

* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson, Dean of Students, and/or the President.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree in from a regionally accredited institution.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* An understanding of and a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the Alabama Community College System.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks and various situations in a professional manner.

* Proficient computer skills.
