CES/AWS is looking for an Operations Superintendent (Night Shift) for our Automotive Manufacturer Client.
Location: Sellersburg, IN
Shift: Night Shift
Industry: Automotive / Warehousing
Position OverviewThe Operations Superintendent is responsible for managing all night shift operations, leading supervisors, and ensuring production, quality, safety, and customer requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in manufacturing or JIT environments and is passionate about developing teams.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Business Management- Oversee and prioritize all aspects of shop floor operations during night shift
- Ensure production schedules are met to support customer requirements
- Lead shift and department meetings
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Directly manage and develop shift supervisors
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, morale, productivity, and quality
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors regarding operational and safety matters
- Ensure compliance with company quality systems, policies, and procedures
- Adhere to control plans and quality requirements
- Support problem‑solving efforts and operational reporting
- Participate in customer and internal presentations related to production responsibilities
- Foster a safety‑first culture and support facility safety goals
- Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Promote company vision, culture, and operating philosophy
- Perform additional duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Management, or related field
- (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in automotive manufacturing, JIT, sequencing, or assembly environments
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient with computer systems and production reporting tools
- Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment
