Plant Superintendent

The Aggregate Plant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Sellersburg aggregate plant's operations. This includes direct management of safety, production, maintenance, and personnel, ensuring all supervisory duties comply with imi Aggregates policies and applicable laws.

• Operational Leadership

  Manage all plant operations, including safety, production, and maintenance, and directly supervise both union and non-union employees. Be capable to delegate responsibilities to direct reports and foremen

  Lead and motivate the team through effective training, setting measurable goals, and continuous performance management
• Stakeholder Relations
  :
  Support positive communication and interaction among employees, customers, and vendors, and proactively manage and resolve customer issues
• Business Planning
  :
  Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and manage plant activities in alignment with established guidelines. Champion the maintenance program to lower costs of producing products
• Safety Compliance
  :
  Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by communicating, improving, and strictly adhering to safety policies across all work environments
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; or combination of education and relevant experience
• Work in an office setting and outdoors in the mine and processing plant. Be comfortable working with and around heavy equipment
• Experience in all facets of production processes and maintenance
• Experience in stone production and or any mining, sand and gravel, or mineral production
• Must be safety oriented and experienced with MSHA regulations
• Previous management of complex mine operations including P&L leadership required
• Experience managing a site's financial decisions and taking ownership of results
• Experience delegating tasks and working alongside salary and hourly direct reports
• Computer skills, familiar with Google Suite
• Ability to build and follow budgets
• Work with onsite ready mix, and asphalt plants
