Mechanical Assembler

Are you a hands-on professional with a passion for building complex, high-reliability systems? Randstad is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join the production team of a premier manufacturing client in Farmingville. This company is renowned for creating state-of-the-art bottling, capping, and labeling systems used worldwide.

In this role, you will be responsible for the precision assembly of subassemblies and full machine frames that keep global businesses in production.

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and follow complex mechanical blueprints and technical assembly drawings.
• Precision Assembly: Position, align, and fasten mechanical components and subassemblies into frames using specialized hand and power tools
  .
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous go/no-go testing and visual inspections to ensure all finished assemblies meet strict production standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production records and time logs on manufacturing travelers.

  Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly diagrams.
• Must-Have Tools: Candidates must possess and be proficient in using their own personal hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, etc.).
• Math Proficiency:
  Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) are required to verify measurements and material dimensions.
• Experience: An assembly background is highly preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related manufacturing field.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to fitment and functionality to minimize downtime and ensure long-term machine reliability.
