PT Receiver – Food Lion, Selbyville, DE

Primary

Purpose:

Ensure proper receiving of DSD product following Food Lion policies and procedures. Maintain standards, maximize sales, minimize shrink.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Protect company assets through accurate receipt and return of DSD product.
• Execute proper vendor receiving policies and resolve vendor errors, policy violations, or excessive inventory.
• Work with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely promotion by all vendors.
• Implement weekly merchandising notes.
• Verify accuracy of DSD plan‑ograms.
• Account for daily and weekly DSD tickets, beer, wine invoices and file properly.
• Check EDI invoices for outstanding amounts.
• Handle all reclaim and damages.
• Consistently conduct CAO related activities, stocking, and rotating cigarette cartons.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Follow company guidelines, policies, and standard practice.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and correct unsafe conditions.
• Report all associate and customer accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge, maintain neat appearance.
• Complete all training courses (CBT, Training Packet, Training Aid).
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Physically capable to meet job requirements with or without accommodations.

Physical Requirements

• Use computers and other communication systems.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
• Bend and lift up to 15 lbs continuously, 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs on occasion.
• Pull or push up to 75 lbs on occasion.
• Stand 100% of the time and frequently walk short distances.
• Handle substances related to cleaning and packaging, fresh produce, and household cleaners.
• Use hands to handle currency and operate cash register, scanner, calculator.
• Reach and grasp at waist level, occasionally above shoulder or below waist.
• Meet volume activity standards.
• Tolerate extreme hot/cold temperatures up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Have sufficient visual ability to check IDs, checks, invoices and documents.
