Christina School District invites applications for the Nutrition Service Worker (6‑hr) Anticipated vacancy district‑wide.

School location will be discussed during the interview.

• Possesses skills to carry out a large‑scale food service program.
• Assists in promoting the school lunch program, the nutritional well‑being of each student, and the orderly and effective operation of the kitchen.
• Accepts responsibility for tasks designated by the manager.
• Participates in the preparation, cooking, and baking of a variety of foods.
• Stores leftover foods properly.
• Performs necessary clean up work.
• Represents the school and the school district in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
• Maintains regular, on‑time attendance.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Indian River School District as established by the Board of Education and the Superintendent.
• Performs other assigned duties.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrates tact to deal amicably and effectively with people.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 50 feet.
• Clean criminal background check, TB test, and child protection registry clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.
