Heavy Equipment and Truck Mechanic – AR Utilities & Excavation – Marion, TX Description
Commercial Construction Company seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic to join our team in New Braunfels, TX.
Perform complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment. This position reports to the Operation Service Manager.
Duties- Abide by all safety policies and procedures and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on tractor, trailer, and machinery including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs including but are not limited to cooling, air, brake, hydraulic pumps, lights, engine, transmissions, drive-train, clutches, and steering.
- Perform general overhaul work on equipment and vehicles.
- Work closely with team members to prioritize workflow to meet the deadline.
- Communicate with team members to maintain proper inventories of supplies.
- Notify the manager of maintenance or repairs that cannot be performed in-house.
- Work additional hours in accordance with business needs and other demands of the position.
- Must have 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong work ethic, enjoys a fast-paced workflow, and can meet deadlines.
- Having own basic tools is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be physically capable of performing assigned repairs and maintenance.
