Assists Golf Course Manager and Golf Pro with daily operation of the golf shop to include retail sales and customer service. This is a part‑time position which normally works less than 20 hours per week on rotating shifts, including regular weekend hours, and is not eligible for City benefits.

• Assists golfers with scheduling tee times, checking in for play, and processing payment through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Monitors and manages course play to ensure proper pace and adherence to tee times.
• Assists in tournament set up preparation and weekly events.
• Assists with inventory control of hard and soft goods, including receiving shipments, pricing merchandise, maintaining displays, and processing sales transactions.
• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, including keeping the sales floor and counter areas neat.
• May assist with golf cart operation and practice facility.
• Observes safety rules and procedures.

Performs such other duties as may be required.

Knowledge of: general knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules, golf facility operations and tournament operations.

Ability to: follow written and oral instructions; operate standard computer software such as Word and Excel; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other city employees and with the general public; stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; maintain and promote a positive professional image; and maintain a Texas driver’s license (applicable to job responsibilities) and a good driving record.

High School diploma or equivalent and one year related experience.

• Appropriate Texas driver’s license or alternate means of transportation to and from work.
• Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission (TABC) Server's Certification.

• Starting Salary: $12.00/hour
